Top Medieval Torture Museum Hotel Reviews
Hampton Inn St. Augustine Downtown Historic District
10/10 Excellent
"The bed was very comfortable, the room was exceedingly clean, the staff friendly and attentive. It seemed newly renovated. In a great location in historic St Augustine."
"Everything in the hotel was amazing- a welcome sparkling wine, the receptionist, the room, the cleaning lady coming twice a day to clean the room, the breakfast. "
"I arrived at this hotel a bit prejudiced because of some negative reviews, likely written by people who either didn’t want to pay for what they were getting or simply couldn’t appreciate the place. I have to admit I was wrong — and I apologize for my initial impression.
The staff was absolutely wonderful: kind, helpful, and genuinely courteous. The rooms may be a little dated, but they were spotless. I was even given extra towels without having to ask twice.
As for the breakfast, anyone claiming it wasn’t good must have had other issues, because it was excellent — fresh and well-organized, with eggs, sausages, yogurt, fresh bread, and more.
The location is also perfect: the old town is only about a 15-minute walk away, and the pool was clean and well-maintained.
This isn’t a 5-star luxury hotel, but I would happily return for the kindness of the staff, the welcoming atmosphere, and the overall value. Thank you!
