The hotel was generally nice, but the furnitures can be abit worn out or old. If you're looking to spend some nice quiet time or business work trip this place is good. And the in-room massage was good and reasonably priced.

I was pleased with the hotel. Very nice amenities and great service. Room was very nice and comfortable. The downside is the carpets in the hallways were stained. A simple improvement that could be made that would improve the property. Location was walking distance to shopping malls and restaurants. Not a good place to walk at night alone.

The hotel can do major upgrade for essentials. The linens and towels are yellowish old and use too much perfume. The carpet in the hall way and the room should be replaced and the wall paper needs to be replaced. This hotel has a lot of potential and is in prime location. The breakfast is amazing. It should invest more on the above.

Luxury hotel - but didn't cater for vegetarians

This is a beautiful hotel. The room I was given was one of the biggest hotel rooms I've ever seen! Pure luxury. One negative is that I ordered rice with vegetables, after explaining I'm vegetarian, but they brought vegetables cooked in a fish sauce with shrimp. After complaining, they brought me a different meal and a free drink. However, a chef in a 4-5* hotel should know that the definition of a vegetarian is simply no meat and no fish (pescatarians eat fish, but vegetarians don't)! I also had an in-room massage, which was supposed to be for 90 minutes but was only 60. So be careful with the agreed time of any treatments.

Staff (Ivan) was super. Otherwise, the hotel is slightly worn, mould in the shower and tile's fitting have broken off in places. Moreover, the cleaning lady had left a hair pin in the shower for us some hair at the drainage. Coffee (capuccino made by the staff) was good.

Very Nice Hotel

Beautiful hotel and room. Good location, close to the train station for the airport (allow extra time for crossing the roads though!). Reception staff were really nice and helpful, especially Fadle. The breakfast room was very big with lots of choice, however I asked 2 members of staff if one of the dishes was vegetarian/no meat and they didn't understand me at all so I gave up and stuck to the waffles, cakes and juices which were all really good!

Rooms are fine, large comfortable bed, quiet air con and good shower. However mouldy in shower grouting, only Nescafé powder for in room coffee and wifi not working properly due to renovations. Restaurant for breakfast a shambles, so busy that every time I got up for something my table was cleared and someone else had sat down even though I hadn’t finished Pool nice, but unfortunately right beside smoking area, which also was beside gym with open door. Made it unusable for me I got a great price here but this is definitely not a 5 star hotel as they bill themselves

Cleaning practices are not good at all. Very expensive price for the limited breakfast and bbq friday was terrible. A male worker tried to sneak into my room. He did not ring the door bell at all and opened the door very slowly to not make any noise and when he saw me in my room he was surprised and acted like he was house keeping. Which he was not. He was definitely up to no good. I do not recommend this hotel at all. The pictures are glorified for what you get.

Bad, not coming back

The reception staff had an attitude from the beginning, idk maybe they were stressed that so many was checking in early. We we’re never informed about the breakfast hours or facilities. First time we came 2 hours before checkin we were informed that the room wasn’t ready and to come back. When we can back they just gave us the room keys and said 11th floor upstairs, and they was gonna bring our luggage up to the room. Not showing us where to go up or nothing. Waited in the room for 1 hour. My husband even went down to the receptionist after 45 min and they only said that it wasn’t in the reception and to please just wait in the room, no apologies or anything. When I complained about it later they just said okey can I give you the information now? No sincer apology or explaining why the service was bad or maybe why she forgot about it. Also, it seems dirty. The beds are fine and okey comfortable, but they use carpet everywhere which in the room you could see spots from maybe before that couldn’t be clean so it felt very dirty. The pool area and everything in general is so much older than it is in the picture. Also they let in anyone eat and drink by the pool with their private food, so my husband couldn’t even chill by the pool without getting filmed because he’s a white person. There’s no way we would come back here. Also the breakfast was very little and not good at all. All in all, if you are staying in Medan, don’t stay anywhere else except JW Marriott, just saying
