When we checked in, they upgraded us to a room that opened right onto the beach (we booked the room with a balcony) and it was incredible for soaking up sun during the day and relaxing at night. "

"Nice location. Only big downfall was check in. The resort is huge and there wasn't a big enough front desk to accommodate check in. They had two-three people working but the process was slow and the line long. We gave them our bags and left to have something to eat. We returned about 90 minutes later and the line was even longer. So we waited."

"We stayed in the Hemingway house which is a free standing structure but public walkways are right outside so for privacy, the blinds need to stay shut which makes it dark.We enjoyed the pool. Pool towels were available in the office. There was no place to hang extra wet clothes or towels in the unit so we hung them on the porch railing. Be aware that access to the bathroom is through the bedroom, if anyone is sleeping on the pull out couch. Parking was fine in March-April, we could always find a spot on the street even though the driveway was being repaired. Overall it was quiet & peaceful but guests are in close proximity so we did hear a crying child one night and an alarm/beeping throughout the night another night. They communicated well and facilitated a late check in for us (after 5:30). Overall it was clean, friendly staff, nice ambiance, especially the outdoor courtyards. The walk to Duvall St was a little farther than I would have liked but doable. Breakfast was fine: bagels, danishes, yogurt, cereal, hard boiled eggs, fruit, cheese sticks, apple juice & coffee."

"The room was good. The price was good and the shuttle downtown is great. The pool is small and not enough chairs for the size of complex. They charge $25 for you to park your our car. The beach water is dirty and you wouldn’t want to swim in it."

"The hotel is tired and pretty old , bed was super soft and not very comfortable . The AC unit was very noisy , and the shower had little water pressure . The food in the restaurant was good, we had shrimp and grits and shrimp and seafood steamed with veggies and corn , and breakfast was also good ."

"The property was excellent. We really enjoyed the pool, beach, yard games, etc. It was awesome to have 2 bedrooms and a washer/dryer. It would be nice to swap out towels throughout the day. Consistently keeping track of and drying towels was a bit annoying. The room was great but sofa and porch furniture was a bit firm. Otherwise the stay was top shelf!"
