"We had a wonderful two night stay at the Xara Palace. We were offered an upgrade (paid for) the the Presidential Suite on arrival - it was 100% worth it. The space was fabulous, wonderful bathroom and lounge area. The hotel has a private, secluded feel. The pool (5mins drive) is extremely relaxing, wonderful service from Noor and Izor who drove us there each day. Would recommend a drink on the terrace if possible, the champagne trolley is fantastic. "Courteous and polite staff from the moment we arrived. Check-in was extremely easy, and although we only stayed for two nights, everything was seamless. We booked a sea view room, which was clean and well presented. Communication was clear throughout, and the staff were always helpful when needed. There is a beautiful heritage building across the road, which turned out to be a restaurant, very convenient for food and drink. We would definitely come back again. "

Need to book spa (jacuzzi steam and sauna) for one hour exclusive use. Only negative was lack of outside window as hotel is an old palace and some rooms face inwards to the inside courtyard which had an opening roof. "The location is strategically placed between the airport and Valletta, essentially there is NO easy street parking available. I relied on the bus, routes from Valletta serving the area include No. 81, 82, 84 & 88 journey time 20-25 minutes approximately every 15-20 minutes. A 5-10 minute walk from the respective bus stop. Check-in was welcoming, I was allocated Room 4, a single double bed with ensuite bathroom, each presented to a high cleaning standard. There was NO TV but the Wifi was good....
