The bars - especially The Connaught Bar - are among the best I’ve been to (& and I live in New Orleans … home of the cocktail!) The Connaught is an experience unlike any other and one you won’t soon duplicate."

"I always enjoy staying at The Biltmore, and overall I have had very positive experiences here. The hotel itself is beautiful and the standards are very high. One small area that could be improved is the reception experience. I would appreciate a warmer and more welcoming approach — a smile, a little more attentiveness, and perhaps an offer to assist with luggage would make a big difference. At times, the check-in can feel a little too transactional, as if the focus is mainly on collecting documents and payment. A more personal and caring welcome would make the experience truly exceptional."

"Claridge's has the reputation of being one of the best hotels in the world and although I am not one to gush with praise, I would have to agree. I have never been anywhere better. Firstly: the staff are lovely, competent, and friendly (OK, that is not so rare in 5* world). Secondly, the whole place is so clean, so well maintained, that it looks brand new. Its like you are the first person ever to have been in your room. This is rare, especially for a hotel with as much history as this. And the food was excellent. Really good. Location is perfect for a tourist. My taste is for a more modern, minimal look, but I have to say the whole hotel looks beautiful. Sort of Art Deco with a modern twist."
