"We stayed 4 nights. the personal is always excellent, well educated the best..
However the housekeeping was lacking and room lacked basic toaltteries making it less than a 5 star (5 star is about details) We had to call and ask a toothpaste etc. My slippers was taken away and I had to call to get slippers.
Also middle of our stay a laundry bags and order plates were removed as well making it impossible to place a breakfast card on the door handle.
Not even tipping a housekeeping 20-30 a day make no difference..it got worse..robes were removed and not replaced and I had to call about them..
The worst happening was on Friday when we came back after hours outside and our room was cleaned but smelled horrible like somebody had used the bathroom and run out. It was so terrible we had to run out and ask what had happened in our room.
Also the receptinist lady just walked in one of the days even we had a sign on the door..she looked surprised making an excuse that was totally off saying we had not left the room in 2 days even we been out all days and room was cleaned daily.
I stayed in the Ritz several times in the past in a junior suite or a suite last time in 2019 ..but this time I noticed details that make the hotel less than than a 5 star expect the personal that is alway the top.
Also receptionist Noa or something was excellent absolutely the best.
I hope the renovations ll not destroy the iconic look of the hotel.
