"For what we paid relative to nearby options, it exceeded expectations. Premium oceanfront king room was excellent and nicely appointed with a great view of the ocean. Best bargain on the property was a beach cabana for two for under $125 for the day. On property Maui Brewing Co drinks were expensive but no moreso than anywhere else and was convenient. Great nearby shops were an easy walk. Pool was ok but nothing to brag about. We didn’t take in any of the offered cultural activities but saw them going on. They are re-roofing one of the buildings (not ours) which clearly added some noise on that side of the property but it didn’t bother us. It was more annoying that beach goers kept stepping over a fence to walk through the cabanas to get to the beach. Clearly marked to go around but many people don’t really care about others if they get a shortcut. Didn’t ruin the day however. Bottom line was I was a bit nervous that taking what looked like a good deal on a premium room type would bite me but I was not disappointed at all."
