"My friend and I stayed for 1 night at Kominka Mitsuhama Ryokan in early November. We were very surprised by how much thought and effort was put into decorating this 100 year old house. It was truly an unforgettable experience staying there.
Our host was like a cherry on top of the whole experience. Even though we could only communicate in broken Japanese, he prepared English instructions for us so communication was not a problem. When we checked out, he even gave us a handwritten note and two...
"Nice hotel, not fussy but clean and efficient. Staff very helpful and rooms are basic. Breakfast is great with healthier choices than most. Will stay again. They have lockers to store luggage. "
"The air cleaner machine in the room was a nice plus; used it whenever we were in the room. The breakfast brunch was very good with a wide selection to choose from; I ate an American breakfast and my wife ate mostly Japanese dishes. Also being able to leave our luggage with the Bell Captain until time to head to the airport was very convenient."
"This is an excellent hotel a five minute walk from the JR Matsuyama City station. The hotel rooms were clean and air-conditioned and the amenities were good.
I would specially commend this hotel for the excellent breakfast spread. It's very much a Japanese breakfast, but the variety was amazing. I would stay at this hotel again just for the breakfast."
"Rooms look a bit old but it does the job. The location is ideal, there is a bath open all night long! Staff is also very helpful, I encountered an issue with one of the washing machine and they fixed it quickly."
