"The staff were friendly and tried their best to help out when you had an inquiry. Hotel & rooms seemed pretty decent for the value. The main drawback is location. It's a bit of a walk from the city center and there aren't a ton of things going on in this particular area."

"Had a fantastic 3 nights during our honeymoon at this lovely property. Location is excellent, right in the heart of Matsumoto and a short walk to the castle, train station and restaurants. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. Rooms are a great size with a traditional feel and our bathroom was in unit with a great shower. Whole space was extremely clean and we didn’t find any real issues with noise from the other units (something they flag given the age of the property). Would recommend to anyone looking for a more traditional stay in Matsumoto."
