"I had a grand 3 night stay at The Duckworth in July 2025. I was very grateful for the staff taking my luggage off my hands before I could check in and also texting me when my room was ready. As I was very much in need of a shower and rest that heads up was much appreciated. The location is fantastic - walkable easily to all parts of downtown with lots of restaurants, pubs and tourist attractions in East walking distance. I found my room to be well laid out and I liked the decor. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. There was plentiful hot water and great wi-fi. While there was no in-hotel noise, if you are sensitive to noise two factors to bear in mind are the downtown location (there are some street traffic sounds) and the window mounted A/C which, according to the decibel meter on my phone, made about 40-ish DB (similar to a quiet library). But the A/C was necessary as the temps with the humidex were mid-30s Celsius.
This was my second time staying at The Duckworth and when next in St John's I hope to stay there again."
