"Four of us stayed for a week at the Hotel Negresco in August. It's in a very convenient location in Playa de Palma, just across the street from the beach and adjacent to several bus lines going to the city and the airport. The staff members were wonderful: they were always polite, friendly, and helpful, and most were multi-lingual. The room was clean and comfortable, and the pool was well-maintained. We only had a couple of minor complaints. First, the room air conditioning could not cope with the mid-August weather. We had the temperature set as low as it would go, but the room felt like it was usually around 80°F (27°C). To make it tolerable, we went and bought an inexpensive electric fan at the mall (FAN Mallorca). Second, with the half-board meal plan we purchased, there were no drinks included with dinner, not even water. It's reasonable that alcohol would be an additional expense, but it seemed unreasonable not to have anything to drink included at all. Maybe these are just American expectations, but everyone in our party remarked about the same things. All in all, we did enjoy our stay and would choose this place again."

"The hotel is fairly modern, spacious and clean. There are plenty of sun loungers around the pool area and it's situated away from noisy bars etc. Breakfast has a wide selection. However the pillows are hard as concrete (noted in many reviews) and the hotel need to change these. The requirement to pay extra for the safe is also poor for a hotel of this standard."

"Very enjoyable weeks stay. Hotel very clean , lots of choice for breakfast and refreshing pool for cooling down. A very short stroll to lovely beach and nice restaurants. Decent entertainment on an evening but could do more for children ? Very pleasant and relaxing "

"Lovely staff sorry couldn’t remember exactly their names both Tensy/tansy? And latoya I think her name was.. they were really professional, friendly and accommodating. Everyone was from reception, housekeeping, pool and bar areas. Could not fault anyone, excellent service. As per the room.. The double bed was not the most comfortable as it kept moving apart with just the slightest movements, the toilet smelled like sewage and you could hear everything as the walls or doors were not soundproof. That’s just the room.. But the breakfast and amenities were amazing! They also had few bits of breakfast for those like us who had to leave at 5am. Would recommend the hotel and staff."

"Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and included everything needed for my stay. Air conditioning worked great, and the pool was clean and relaxing. I loved the walking distance to the beach and restaurants. One thing to be aware of is that the Bierkonig is across the street, so music is playing all the time. Bring earplugs if you need sleep. Overall, a great place to stay."
