I feel this hotel needs a complete change. "

"We checked in and we were put in a room with a very smelly bathroom. Also, the bedsheets had lipstick marks on them, which was very worrying about the facilities' hygiene. We requested a room changed and we were moved to a slightly better room but the AC in that room was not working. At that point, we couldn't be bothered to ask for another relocation. Fortunately, we had traveled with our own towels and beddings because at that point we couldn't trust any of their stuff."

Considering the size of the property, 15 units of electricity was not enough for 3 nights yet there was 9 of us in the property. Wifi was selective on some phones. Water dispenser was not replenished. You need to consider the size of the family before rationing...

"Remarkable historic building with large rooms and spacious cool lounges, balconies and interior in Moroccan riad style. Staff were delightful (thank you Lilian for arranging so much our trip!), food delicious (thank you chef Bukari!) including breakfasts and dinners overlooking the beach and ocean. Amazing location with nice pool and in the right area for enjoying the ocean while exploring Mombasa. Unfortunately, however, the owners have neglected the building has been very neglected with the lovely fountains without water, everything dusty, towels with holes, etc. Lack of cleanliness / clearing food causes flies in the dining area. It's a real shame because this is a gem of a place. The owners need to give it the love that their staff do."
