Rooms/suites require upgrading. Bedding is worn out with holes! Our sheet was changed once only at our request! Large balcony, although generous was not swept or washed in the 2 weeks we were there. Communal areas are well maintained, however toilet facilities need upgrading and more frequently cleaned. Staff were always polite and helpful. Large general restaurants also require upgrading, however the à la carte restaurants were very good and offered something for every palate.

My stay at Grand Waterworld Makadi was a mixed experience, with some genuine highlights alongside several disappointments. The positives: The animation team is very active and keeps the resort lively throughout the day. They hosted a number of dance shows, and I particularly enjoyed the Argentine Malambo performance. The sea is also outstanding — you can snorkel just ten feet from the beach and enjoy beautiful coral reefs and marine life. Rooms: The beds and pillows were not comfortable. I also experienced a problem with the bathroom, and it took more than two days to resolve after I reported it, which was frustrating. Food and beverages: There is a good variety on offer, but the taste did not match what I have experienced at other Hurghada resorts. It appears that low-grade ingredients are being used. When I ordered a Sprite by the pool, it tasted like pure citric acid. The restaurants are also under-capacity for the number of guests, and I had to wait for a free table at every meal. Check-in: Check-in was delayed by more than two hours, although the staff did offer a late checkout when I requested it. Overall: The location and entertainment are real strengths, but the quality of the food, the condition of the rooms, and the responsiveness of maintenance need serious attention.

Stunning view and exceptional service, but maintenance and food need urgent attention I recently stayed at your resort and I have very mixed feelings about my experience. There were highlights that made the trip special, but also some disappointments that hindered the overall quality. The Highlights: First and foremost, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Amir for his professional handling of our check-in and for providing us with a free room upgrade, which we truly appreciated. Also, a special shout-out to Irene from the Concierge team. She was beyond excellent—handling all our trip arrangements and securing our a la carte restaurant reservations with such efficiency and a friendly attitude. The resort itself is visually stunning. The landscaping is top-notch, and the Aqua Park, Lazy River, and pools are fantastic. The beach is breathtaking, and the snorkeling directly from the shore was one of the best parts of our stay. Areas for Improvement: Unfortunately, the dining experience did not match the beauty of the resort. The food quality was poor and lacked variety, which significantly impacted our enjoyment. Additionally, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the linens and towels, which was not up to the expected standard. We also noticed some clear signs of "cost-cutting" that felt out of place in such a high-end location. * Maintenance: The air conditioning in the room was faulty; the temperature remained constant regardless of the settings.
