Our family of four stayed just one night in this hotel before continuing our holiday, travelling through Germany. We found it very comfortable sharing a room together and enjoyed a lovely breakfast with great choices. We all enjoyed a swim in the pool before continuing our journey. We’ve stayed here many times over 10 years. Some of the furnishings are looking a bit worn, but all is clean. Bathroom is very clean. Linens and bedding are fresh. Breakfast buffet remains high quality. Staff informative and helpful.

Nice hotel at the top of the hill steep climb back or stairs,taxi from town 15euro. PutTrajanstrasse inthe satnav for the car park, or you will miss it in the one way,go down to the second level, you will see the signs for the lift

Nice hotel near major attraction. Just about 8 - 10 mins walk from Mainz train station. Room was clean, but the corridor have some sort of smell, but nothing major. Breakfast selection is good. Lift was a bit slow.

Older hotel in okay condition very in need of updating. Parts of the spa are out of order (cold plunge) and the entire pool and spa area is often pretty smelly. That being said, the sauna is huge and wonderful!

The hotel is in a great location, a few minutes’ walk from the train station and 15 minutes to the city centre. The staff are very friendly and helpful and tolerated my rusty German (they offered to switch to English but I like to practice). Fitness centre is basic and the room decor is a bit worn but everything works. Excellent breakfast buffet.

I recently wrote that the pool was only open between 7:00 PM & 9:00 PM. This is incorrect (there was an error on their bulletin board). The pool is open starting at 7:00 AM.

The bartender was gracious and amazing! The desk staff was friendly. However, the rooms were hot, the bed was hard and our linens were not changed out (even though we left a green "please clean" card), and the room was not cleaned. Don't recommend.

The hotel is about to close, weather for renovation or for good is not clear, but this is something they forgot to advertise online. Nevertheless, hotel was decent, but more of an Ibis level than a Novotel, although priced as a Novotel. Staff was quite difficult and seemed clueless about how to manage simple tasks such as charging us for some extras from a fridge in the lobby. I am not sure what happened, but this was not the experienced I wanted from a Novotel.
