Fairly good place, located 3 minutes from train station and walking distance from town centre. Clean, all in good condition, completely quiet despite next to busy road and train tracks. Bed a bit on the soft side, and a coffee maker in the room would be nice. Tip: sign up for their ‘H Rewards’ loyalty programme and you get free public transport ticket from reception.

The hotel is clean and conveniently located near the train station. Room service is upon request (not sure if there is a charge). There is no shampoo/conditioner in the room, which is weird. When asked, I was told to use the body wash instead. Seriously?! I also did not appreciate being charged for an early check in. I arrived around 1 pm. I understand when the room is unavailable, but they had the room and still charged me 25 euro.

Perfectly ok for a few nights stay, comfortable bed, nice size and a very quiet room - despite facing a motorway. A perfect welcome at the reception - efficient and polite, without taking too much time. A clean, spacious, and a nicely lit up bathroom, with good ventilation. The room comes with a drink cooler fridge, a kettle, and a tea/coffee tray. Entrance is virtually behind the train station, and next to a bus/tram stop, making it super easy to reach the rest of the city. Our second, and if ever back in Mainz, not the last time here.

The staff at the reception/hotel was very rude and unprofessional. First, they claimed there was no room availability and seemed uninterested at check-in. They did not care to explain what services were available or included during the stay. Secondly, my guest arrived the lobby and indicated that he was was waiting for me stating that I would be there in about a minute, but was repeated asked to leave the lobby and reception area and wait outside. They did not bother to call my room to verify or let me know they were asking him to leave the hotel. Upon arrival and checking out, the staff continued to be rude and yelling "get out of here to my guest and myself". His colleague seemed not bothered by his behaviour. I indicated that I would have liked to speak with hotel manager were I not in a rush to catch the train that morning, but to my surprise this staff encouraged me to call once I get to my destination "once you get to Toronto" and declined to apologize for his behaviour towards my guest.

Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen, dass das Hotel in Bahnhofsnähe war. Ansonsten war die Frühstücksauswahl auch reichlich und sehr gut. Und auch sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, würde gerne jederzeit wieder kommen.

Love the location and ease of access to the city. The room was very comfortable and functional for working. The dining options were unimpressive in the hotel and held odd hours. But I felt safe and comfortable and had great sleep! Would definitely stay again!

Comfortable stay but would have liked toiletries

We stayed for 2 weeks in July 2025 while in Mainz for a business trip. We had a comfortable room and everything was clean. We would have liked shampoo in the room, and other basic toiletries like cotton buds, cotton balls, shower caps, which are usually provided by hotels. Other than that, the bed was comfortable, airconditioning was good, cleaning staff clean when you request for them, but the cleaning was a little inconsistent. For example some days we would get water, some days not, and some days we would get less towels. Not a big issue, just something we noticed. Overall everything was good.

Zimmer war sehr sauber und relativ modern ausgestattet. Die Umgebung des Hotels war allerdings nicht wirklich einladend, auch das Frühstücksbuffet war ausbaufähig. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt jedoch definitiv weiterzuempfehlen.

A good room that is starting to show some age. The mattress is a bit too soft for me. But it’s a perfectly fine room, especially for the price. The rest of the property is is great shape and up to date, as is the room itself. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
