"We recently stayed 5 nights at this beautiful hotel in the heart of the City and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out we were treated like royalty and every whim was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Our beautiful rooms had excellent views of Table Mountain and two restaurants on site offered excellent food options, with the Bombay Brasserie a must visit. The bar too is an excellent place to unwind after a long day. I can’t say enough about the staff …..everyone from the front desk, concierge, doormen, bar & restaurant staff always had smiles on their faces and were eager to please. We have stayed here before and will certainly do so again. "

"Such a serene place to stay overlooking the ocean with multiple pools. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Israel, who went above and beyond to check in on us. It was a great way to start our visit to South Africa."

Lovely gifts provided - sun hats and beach bag. They said they'd clean my car but didn't, but that was a treat I hadn't expected anyway. I'd go again."

"Our oasis… while the other hotels along Camos Bay are on the loud main road through town, The Retreat is just enough above the road that you really only hear the ocean waves breaking on the shore or the birds in the gardens. We were so happy we picked this place instead of near the chaos. The staff were incredibly helpful and responsive and we ended us eating there most every night as the food was great and the outside dining area had the best ocean sunset views you could ask for. We had to cancel one part of our journey and turned around and came right back here. Such a treat. "
