"The staff was very helpful, especially Rodrigue and Rachel also, the property was well maintained and very clean. I enjoyed the breakfast very much. It had a lot of variety.The only thing I disliked was the pool deck was under construction, and there was a sewer smell on the property other than that I enjoyed my stay."

"The Barcelo is the perfect place to stay. It is close to the water front, cathedral, main town. The oldest street and cable car are just a five minute walk. The hotel itself is lovely. Breakfast is delicious and the buffet selection well stocked. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool, although not very deep, is lovely to cool down in. The views from the rooftop are delightful in the day and night. Definitely worth staying here."

"Excellent location, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms showing their age. Smart switches and TV service were finicky and unreliable. No ability to access or use Netflix, Amazon Prime or cast from your phone. Mattress had indents on both sides, needed to be replaced."

"I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The property is very outdated and appears to be in need of significant updates and maintenance. One of the biggest issues during my stay was that the air conditioning in my room was not working properly, which made the room quite uncomfortable. The staff were consistently rude and seemed annoyed by even the simplest requests. On multiple occasions, I called the front desk for assistance and either received no answer or was hung up on while trying to get help. The hotel advertises room service, but in reality, guests are expected to go down to the pool bar, pick up the food themselves, and carry it back to their rooms. Having to take a tray up 10 floors defeats the purpose of room service altogether. To make matters worse, the elevators were extremely slow, making it frustrating to get around the property. Overall, the lack of customer service, poor communication, outdated facilities, and misleading room service experience made for a very disappointing stay. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to others."
