"The air was very damp and smelled like mold. There was indeed some black mold on the shower curtain and on the window curtain. Everything felt slightly damp in the room including our pillows. It was therefore extremely uncomfortable and hard to sleep. We woke up in the morning feeling nausea presumably because of the disgusting air. There was also a door to the outside that rattled loudly every time a gust of wind blew which also made it hard to sleep. Overall I would recommend finding different...

"The management (owners?) were very pleasant and helpful, as were all staff. The room was spacious and well prepared. The Hotel offered everything we wanted and was convenient for a short walk down to the Harbour at Horta, which was our main place to visit. Overall, extremely pleased with the quality and value the Hotel offered and provided. It is not a 5 star facility but clean, tidy, spacious and ideal for our stay on a budget. We would recommend this hotel."

"The wifi didn't reach our room which was challenging at the end of a long day to have to go to the lobby to use phones/do communication for the next day. The rooms were clean but small. The lobby area smelled musty. But a nice location, easy to walk in the town and to the ferry. Breakfast was good but what we learned to be a pretty standard breakfast for the Azores."

"The place is beautiful, in a great location, private and secluded, with nice amenities such as hot tubs, pool, wood BBQ. It looks just like the pictures and overall, we enjoyed our stay. But, - very limited hot water. Takes long to warm up and then only lasts 5 minutes. Not enough for 2 showers. We could only fill the amazing bath up a few inches before it got cold, so kind of useless. - lots of ants, and when we complained, we were told to deal with it ourselves - there was a birds nest inside the stove making noise at night, and when we complained, it was only fixed the next day… it was quite disappointing With minor improvements, this could be the perfect stay."

"Staff was amazing, they stayed open to help us check in late after our flights were impacted due to weather. The place is spotless and smells incredible. We didn’t get to try dinner at the restaurant as it was closed for a celebration holiday on Monday but the breakfast was delicious. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, a little bit outside of The main town but close to hiking vineyards and the ocean. Bonus is Noah, the cat who visits outside and came to hang out with us for awhile (he’s super loving and friendly). We absolutely loved our stay here and in Pico"
