"Staff were very friendly! Entertainment and food were fabulous. Pool spotless, great to see the manager being there on the complex walking around observing. The bar staff and waiters/waitresses were charming and nothing too much for them. With the facilities, we were disappointed on first day to have no aircon in our room, heard others had same problem with this. We were moved to different room same day but it meant we lost time unpacking and packing again. Overall the stay was so lovely and we would recommend this hotel. We certainly will be returning."

"Reid’s is a beautiful property with multiple pools and diving access to the ocean. Our stay involved changing rooms ( not the hotels fault), and not all rooms are the same. The first room had a walk in shower but the second room had a very slippery tub shower. There was construction going on during our stay that made for noisy afternoons. The food was really good and there are multiple restaurants, however, I would reserve a table in advance of your stay to guarantee your spot at dinner. The service was exceptional."

"Great location and architecture. Lots of room options. Generous 'all-inclusive' offering. Music far too loud at main pool. Discarded Food outside next door's room was left for >12 hours before collection despite prompt. Food options are great...IF YOU CAN GET BOOKED IN. We had several messages from Hyatt prior to arriving, asking if we wanted to select a specific room...It would have been far more useful if they had asked us what restaurant we wanted to book for our first 2 nights...there was no availability when we checked in."

"The Evening buffet didn’t meet our expectations. It had overdone meat in several different options. The food wasn’t hot and the salads were almost gone. We both didn’t think it was worth the money. "The Hotel is absolutely gorgeous and in an amazing part of Funchal. The rooftop pool And bar are absolutely unbelievable with the best views in town. The staff are incredible and the rooms were cleaned impeccably. Possibly needing a little TLC in some parts of the room. But do not let it put you off absolutely fantastic would definetly return"
