"I left my heart in Talalla Retreat. Incredible staff who were so welcoming and hard working, the Retreat itself is stunning. I had an upstairs bedroom so was able to fully enjoy the surroundings. The food was incredible. I felt super safe. I didn’t want to leave. A must visit - and please do as the Sri Lankan people need visitors right now. "

"Very friendly family service. Great location for beach - 2-3 min walk. Lots of great restaurants around, especially on beach. Next to road, so easy to get tuktuk. Comprehensive convenience shop 4 min walk. Lovely pool with outdoor shower. A/C kept room at nice temperature, with ceiling fan. Family room had two double beds and we had a cot, so family of five well-suited. Room cleaned every 3 days. Malee cooked us lovely hoppers, dal and sambal for breakfast, whilst the children loved fresh...

"Very friendly and helpful staff! They made the experience extra lovely ☺️The hotel is placed right on the beach and has a gorgeous view. You can rent surfboards close to the hotel and there are some restaurants in walking distance. It is only 30 min to Marissa by tuktuk."

"Siamo stati al Sea anemone di Talalla x 4 giorni e siamo stati veramente bene i proprietari sn delle persone squisite,ci hanno fatto sentire di casa e aiutati nelle ns esigenze,il posto è tranquillissimo ed a due passi da una spiaggia lunga 2km a mezza luna incontaminata e i turisti si contano sulle dita di una mano...Grazie di cuore hai proprietari!!!♥️♥️♥️"

"Fantastic location, but disappointing in so many other ways. First of all there was no booking when we arrived and when it was eventually sorted it was made clear the management thought we had not paid enough through the booking agent we had used. We stayed for 7 nights and the room was never cleaned, not even once. There was a regular smell of sewage from the bathroom and the room was very tired. The meal we ordered one night was of such a small portion that we subsequently had to order...

"We loved our stay at coco tangalla. The staff was welcoming and kind and the location was amazing. The property is beautiful with a great pool and beautiful view of the beach (although you can’t swim there because of the rocks, but it’s great to watch crabs in the rock pools!) - food was very tasty (egg hoppers were especially good) and the room was comfortable and practical (not huge in itself but the bed was comfy and there was storage for our bags under the bed, and the bathroom was big)....
