We had an excellent stay at Smeralda Beach Hotel over Christmas. Lovely boutique hotel right by Dickwella Beach. Friendly staff and very good food in the restaurant. Calm and quiet area, close to Hiriketiya Beach where surfing and cool vibe. Short walk to snorkling with turtles.

Excellent Boutique Hotel on perfect beach

Such a lovely hotel, situated on a quiet, beautiful beach. All staff here and at the sister hotel a short walk away were amazing, with a special mention to Rosin and Nedmina (sorry I couldn’t quite remember your full name!) We loved being able to swim in the sea just outside and walking along the beach. A great, comfortable base for exploring the South Coast. Lovely food too-eating on the beach was a real treat!

Location unbelievable on the beach. Beautiful bay, nice sandy beach. Nice pool. Amazing chef (Brayan) who will cook any fish dish you wish. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend this place.

Great property right on the beach , in comparison the prices in the hotel / restaurant are higher ( which is to be expected) . Staff was lovely , the hotel could do with some small updates / upgrades. Location is very good, under 10 mins to walk into town. Great place if you are looking for something that not in overcrowded part of Sri Lanka

The hotel is right on the most beautiful beach with plenty sun beds available. The pool is very clean. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. The location is great, near Hiriketiya for lots of bars and restaurants but slightly out the way so you basically have Dikwella beach to yourself! The main downside is that the hotel is very loud, it’s a small building so you can hear everything down in the restaurant including music early in the morning and at night. The air con is also pretty weak and the property needs a few updates.

Wir waren begeistert vom äußerst hilfsbereiten, zuvorkommenden Personal und der Lage des Hotels. Der direkte Zugang zum wunderschönen Strand und dem kleinen Pool zur Abkühlung waren eine tolle Sache. Die Pizza, die es im Gegensatz zur restlichen Karte immer gibt, war ebenfalls empfehlenswert. Einziges Manko sind einige Baustellen im Bereich des Möbiliars, Z.B. Lose Schranktüren, verzogene Duschtüren usw. Unabhängig dieser Kleinigkeiten hatten wir aber einen äußerst angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem liebevoll geführten Hotel.

Un super hôtel avec une très belle vue sur la mer. La piscine donne aussi sur la mer. Il y a un parking en face de l'hôtel. L'hôtel propose aussi la restauration. Il est très bien placé !
