Hotels near MAR Shopping

"A modern airport hotel good for an overnight stay if arriving late into Porto airport. One stop on the tram from the airport,- the tram stop is only 2 minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are functional, comfortable bed, wifi, and heating/airconditioning. The hotel is in an industrial area - no restaurants or bars nearby. "

"Disappointed is the only word I can use ,having stayed at said hotel on previous trips and had a fantastic experience this time was dreadful, was taken to their new hotel and the only word I can use is dumped there .No staff on site any questions had to ring main hotel ,no coffee/ tea making facilities in room or even in reception area except for vending machine which I will say we thought was vile ,in the bedroom there was no bedside tables so not very practical as charging points were above the sides of the bed.The bed had a quilt but no extra sheet or blanket.In the morning breakfast was delivered but not enough hot water in the small flask,not usually a problem as have asked staff for extra before and got it but told not available here,very sad to give this review staff were very pleasant but that does not compensate for the inconvenience .Shuttle turned up on time "

"Stayed here previously. Only a 5 minute walk to the airport, so ideally situated for a one night stop over for an early/late flight. Spotlessly clean rooms, designed for this purpose, with large modern shower rooms. Helpful and courteous staff. Would use again. "

"We loved the breaking buffet. Also, we were given an early check in that was nice after a long flight."

"Perfectly situated to enjoy the seafront promenade, The hotel is quiet and comfortable. The rooms are well appointed and tea and coffee making facilities are very welcome. Blackout curtains and big comfortable beds ensure a good night's sleep. The light switches are a mystery - lots of trial and error. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops close by. The underground parking is convenient though the access ramps are a little challenging. Access to the hotel is via a lift to the reception. Check in was friendly and efficient. This was our third annual visit for the Porto Orchid Show"

"Room was not thoroughly cleaned, no one was at check in so I had to wait 30 min and call 4 times for the owner to send someone down to hand over the keys. There was a mildewy smell in the room. Motion activated lights kept turning off the in bathroom so I had to keep waving my hand around every 30 seconds. Decent amenities for a hostel but I couldn’t really take advantage of them with just a one night stay. The low price may make it worth it but not a great stay by any means. "
