Learn more about Lyme

Perched along the Connecticut River, this charming New England town offers hiking trails through Holt's Ledge with spectacular valley views. Rent a kayak at Post Pond for a peaceful afternoon, or visit the historic Lyme Common with its white-steepled church and farmers market.

Edgell Covered Bridge is located on River Rd in Lyme NH and crosses Clay Brook. It was built in the late 1800's and is listed in the World Guide of Covered Bridges (WGCB), number 29-05-11, and New Hampshire covered bridge #25.

It is rumored that Edgell Covered Bridge was built by an 18 year old man in the late 1800's. As with some other covered bridges in the state of New Hampshire, it's roof caved in during a major snowstorm, due to the weight of the snow in February 1982.
