"A very nice property although a bit run down, need of update including furnitures, we arrived late in the evening and found it very cold room we had to turn electric fire on and left it on right through the night, the food is average, no local shops near by, so you will need tuk tuk, staff are great, friendly and very helpful. A beautiful train journey through the rolling hills of Sri Lanka's enormous tea plantations. I took this train ride from Nuwara Eliya to Ella which took about 3 hours, and less than 300 rupees- third class is worth the mild discomfort for the people you meet. And Ella is definitely worth a trip- stunning views and hikes up to Ella Rock and Little Adams Peak.
