Mountain Top Park Hotel

"Overall, the hotel was decent, and the view from the window was beautiful. The water pressure and temperature in the shower were both good. Breakfast was nice with a fairly good variety, and it was lovely to see birds while having breakfast in the morning. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. However, the Wi-Fi signal in the room was extremely weak. There was almost no usable internet, which was quite frustrating. The room was also not soundproof at all. We could clearly hear people talking in the next room, and even their snoring. One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel is located at the top of a mountain, so I would not recommend driving there if you are an inexperienced driver. Overall, it is fine for a one- or two-night stay, especially if you mainly want to enjoy the views and the surroundings. However, I would not recommend staying for a longer period because the Wi-Fi was simply too poor to be comfortable."
Tico Tico Villas Adult Only

"Tico Tico was the ideal place for our two-week stay while we attended Spanish School in Quepos. We stayed in villa #12 which was exactly as shown in the photos. It was spacious, clean, and had a great open, modern aesthetic. And A/C!!! Having the kitchen was fantastic. We used the stove every day to cook eggs for breakfasts, and when we didn't want to eat out for lunch and dinner, we made sandwiches and salads. They even provided a hot water kettle so we could make coffee and tea. The location was perfect--5 minutes on the bus to Quepos in one direction and 10 minutes to Manuel Antonio in the other. And the bus stops directly in front which was super convenient. The pool was gorgeous and provided a wonderful place to cool off after being out in the heat. And the hammocks on the covered pavilion were a great place to read and study. The staff was friendly, helpful and responsive. The owner even drove us into town one day when we *just* missed the bus and needed to get to class quickly. The ONLY complaint we had was that the road noise could sometimes get loud. The property is located close to the road and the noise from the motor bikes (especially) was annoying when sitting outside in the pavilion or the pool. When indoors, it was not a problem. I normally don't book through a 3rd party, but we got a very good rate through Expedia. It was about $30/day less than booking through Tico Tico directly, which for a two-week stay really added up."
