Check-in was difficult. There were no lights. The front door was open. I couldn’t tell which door to go into. Another guest helped me find my room. The key code given did not work. After repeated requests, the staff texted me a new code that worked The room was substandard. We rented for three nights, but decided not to stay the first night. We paid for three nights and the staff agreed to refund two nights.
I didn't even get to stay here because it was broken into and ripped up and uninhabitable and scary because there were noises within the house even though the front doors were already busted open . And thanks to you guys. I was sleeping in my car for my whole trip.

The room was very small and so was the shared bathroom.

The house temperature was 65°F even though the thermostat was set to heat to 75°F. I raised it to 80°F, but the temperature never changed. The house remained cold all day and night, and I ended up getting sick with a severe flu, including fever and muscle aches that lasted a week.
While I was sick and trying to rest, the resident maintenance staff ran laundry daily from around 11 AM to 3 PM, loudly slamming washer and dryer doors and slamming the mop against the wall while to cleaning. The washer/dryer are located only 3 feet from my room door, making it impossible to sleep or recover during that period.
To make matters worse, maintenance knocked on my door to ask permission to host their daughter’s birthday party in the shared living room from 6PM to 8PM. I agreed and even gave them permission to use my personal air fryer, then explained that I would be in my room sick. The party started around 6:30 PM and lasted until midnight, with 2 children running around and screaming in the living room. The parents were also spoke loudly throughout the evening, offering no effort to keep noise down.
During the same evening, they repeatedly used my personal air fryer approximately every 30 minutes throughout the night (more than 10 times). The following day, I found that the air fryer was no longer functioning.
This place is poorly managed, consistently noisy, and not suitable for anyone who needs a quiet, comfortable stay—especially if you are unwell or with personal belongings.
First of all, I want to say the house keeping was fine. She cleaned quickly and often. I don’t want the actual staff to receive any trouble because of my review.
This was a really rough stay. Me and two friends from Japan (one who I shared a room with, and one who stayed in his own room) were here for a week, and it was inconvenience after inconvenience. First of all, I swear I checked their website and information up and down, and nowhere was it made clear that the bathrooms were all shared with the entire building. I assumed access to private bathrooms and had trouble figuring out if this was the case after I booked. I had to look at other reviews to realize this. It feels dishonest, because the shared bathrooms are a HUGE inconvenience. We had two bathrooms to an entire building, so if anyone else was using them and you needed to go potty or shower on short notice, you were utterly at the whims of every other guest in the building.
The provided amenities were terrible. Again an entire building was expected to share the same shampoo/conditioner/body wash. In a post-covid world, I’m very particular about sanitation, so the lack of individual amenities really grossed me out. All the dishes in the kitchen were shared and guests were expected to clean them… and the dishwasher was not working. Am I supposed to trust the cleanliness of dishes that other people put their hands all over using dirty sponges that I don’t know how long they’ve been in the sink?
Got to the hostel, followed directions to enter the house, the keypad lock on my pod was not working so I called front desk twice and left a message when they didn't pick up. They did not return my call for about an hour. I had left and found another place to stay and they would not give me even a partial refund.
24/7 front desk support is promised but not delivered. The staff will hold no accountability and you will not be refunded or compensated if they don't honor their own policies.
The room was clean. Checking in was a little confusing. Need a code for the front door and for the room. I had to message management for the codes while waiting outside. It feels like you're living in a house with roommates in a suburban neighborhood. There's no instruction, everything is digital, so I'm not sure if the people on site who were cleaning are people who work for the owners, or if they are the owners/landlords/property managers - the blurred line - lack of English speaking and not so friendly attitude made the experience a little weird but considering the super cheap price to stay in LA, I didn't mind.
With that said, because of the value and the cleanliness of the room, and relatively quiet and safe area, I would come back again if I was constrained on a budget.

Disliked: Staff & service
Customer service was rude when calling to ask for help. No handsoap in the kitchen to wash hands. Not enough utensils.
First time trying a hostel in the US w pods… interesting, overall for the cost and the added amenities, I’ll say 3.5 stars.
Most of the house mates were very nice, but omg maybe avoid the girls-only pod. It is inhabited by 2 stand-offish, unapproachable, and slightly intolerable “ladies”. One was particularly off-putting spending the entire day in the pod, on the phone arguing with people and talking about how “her man don’t play, he shot someone for me” :::::aggressively swishing around what sounded like a big gulp with a side of gum chewing for hours:::
The good things: this place is kind of like a complex. You aren’t limited to your little pod, only slept in there, leaving nothing of value inside during the day so I could keep the pod doors open and my spot cool. There is no AC in your area- a mobile unit cools the girls- only room. It does the job.
The main house is great and clean. Everyone has space for their stuff (3 big fridges available). The on site team are very nice, very welcoming and kind. They work hard to keep things neat. Next door you have the pool and a nice yard where I spent the majority of my time. Parking available on the street nbd.
Smile you are on camera all the time!
The lady you call to check in sounds annoyed and doesn’t help at all she gives up and hangs up on you she was useless

The private room w bath said it was a queen bed but it was definitely a full. The bathroom had body wash and shampoo but not conditioner. The bathroom trash had significant trash in it already. Living room voices with TV carry and combined w thin walls, u might as well be in the living room too. Quick, cheap stay and the codes r convenient. Would only stay for a night.
First of all this is a hostel. It is pretty good option having private room with a private bathroom in a hostel.
Everything was fine except some not quite clean areas on the floor of the bathroom, and the feeling that somebody can enter your room during the night as the door of the room was difficult to lock from inside.
There were not problem locking from outside.
The kitchen, and community area were clean, and well maintained.
Entering the house, and using the codes was easy, and instructions were coming on time.
Quiet area, and everything else was fine.
I booked this place bc it was close to the venue I went to.

The code given to me by the property owner didn't work but they were able to open it remotely if asked. Someone in the house set the temperature to 62°F, I tried to set it back to 72°F to no success. To no fault of the owner, neighboring room renter was playing loud music at 4:30am and when asked to stop, they retaliated 10 minutes later by banging on our door.

A new experience
Check in was difficult, the owner had to change the code several times to both the front door and my room before it finally worked. There is no pool in the background as advertised, however, there is a pool next door, so I suppose that is the pool that they mentioned. The manager was always available via text which was great. There was one tenant that fought with her boyfriend and screamed a couple of times across the house, my 1st night. My second night there, the toilet paper ran out so I had to use napkins. I saw a roach on the bathroom wall this morning. Be advised that ALL rooms share a bathroom, although it doesn't specify that. it was quiet some nights during my three nights stay, but shared living is not for me. I tried to upload photos but was unable to which is unfortunate..
Was sent to different address than the one I signed up for. TV didn't work, only one electrical output in bedroom work. The toilet got clogged. Called customer service and they said they would have someone come TOMORROW! We stayed about an hour then we left. They wouldn't refund our money. AVOID at all costs.

Saw a roach on the wall between the shower and sink area.
Shower was cold water. Left on for 5 min and it did not get hot.
Smell food in the sleeping area. Someone i believed brought food into their pod.
