This was a charming affordable little property near Malibu. We had our own private balcony, and the room offered nice amenities. The fireplace wall could definitely have used a paint job. We went swimming in their heated pool, which was fantastic. We walked up the road .4 miles to a restaurant right on the ocean for dinner. The bed was very comfortable and clean! Overall, a good night stay.

The beds were very comfortable which is #1 on my list, and the staff was friendly and helpful. While the interior of the room was recently upgraded and quite nice, the property as a whole is very run down. Our "Garden View" room had a view of the highway, although we could see Zuma Beach, not really complaining. The outside patio area was a great place to hang out, we used it a lot. One major complaint is the nuclear strength stadium lighting in the parking lot. Its overkill, way too bright and shone directly into our room. The shutters did little to block it. Overall, the location was convenient, staff was great and aside from the super bright lights at night, our stay was fine.

I really loved the room—the comfy bed, clean bed linens and towels, the quiet atmosphere, and the nice renovation. The staff were very nice and helpful, and it was easy to park the car. It was a perfect getaway next to Zuma. Overall, it was an excellent experience. I will definitely come back.

Location was the reason I picked this property. Close to our friends in Malibu and beach. Property is in poor condition, pool unusuable. no housekeeping the entire time we were there. Cracked mirror in bathroom. Room was ok, shower was ok, bed ok. But old, dated, and grounds are not maintained. Smelled like sewer run off. We picked it to be close to our friends and beach so location was good. The property itself is dirty, old towels at the pool dor days, we left dirty towels outside our door and expected housekeeping and there was none all 4 days. Pool unusuable so false advertising, Deck fake turf was smelly, soggy and deck furniture covered in bird pooped. Wont stay here again. was great, walked to Zuma Beach also a plus. But the grounds, are dirty, unke

This was the 5th time staying here & it is a boutique motel. The location is definitely the best part. But this time, the bathroom was literally gross, baseboards & door were so grungy & in need of paint, dirty towels left for 2 days out by dirty pool (our patio view!), limited coffee supplies, including no stir sticks & smoke alarm wasn’t even on the wall! The worst part was that the front desk staff did NOT care! When checking out, he did not say: “goodbye, thank you, how was everything“! He literally said nothing! It was extremely unprofessional & we were certainly not made to feel like coming back or special! People CAN make a difference! We were so disappointed in the treatment this time! We had always looked forward to staying in this quaint little place with walking access to the ocean in minutes but will 2nd guess where to stay next time mostly due to staff & cleanliness! 😕
