"The pool and spa were closed , so I gave 4 stars. Otherwise, the place is clean and has all the amenities needed. Breakfast was good, the cinnamon rolls are made at local bakery (we believe), and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The decor in the room is a bit dated, and may need some attention, but is very much comparable to all the other hotels we have stayed at in the area. We have stayed here twice on the way to Canada, and have been highly pleased both times."

"Great location, walkable to everything. Very clean property. Helpful and pleasant staff. The owners dogs on site were a definite plus! Don’t worry, they’re not free range, they’re contained and available to love thru out your stay."

"Clean, comfortable room at a reasonable price. We just needed a quick stop for one night. The fridge and AC were appreciated. Would stay here again. The owner was very kind and helpful, especially ensuring that we wanted to stay in spite of recent fires in the area. We enjoyed our stay in Ely."
