"Lovely room, spacious, modern & very very clean ! The only thing for me was that the room was hot at night, I had a ground floor room with patio doors but there was no smaller window to open during the night for cooler air while I slept, other than that an excellent stay. Friendly staff. This was my second time staying there and will definately book again for my next visit to see friends."

"A very enjoyable stay in a dated hotel. We were in a lovely clean and spacious room with a very good en-suite bathroom with a good bath and shower too. Friendly staff and a very good breakfast. We will definitely stay there again when we’re In Cheshire."

"Last minute room only deal which was very reasonable for a Friday night. Hotel was very central and parking for £5 very reasonable. Weather was lovely so we didn’t get time to use the Swimming pool (which was £6 each). We enjoyed sitting on the lovely lawn area having drinks."
"The hotel and leisure facilities are excellent, which is spoilt by the food offerings which are only ever like warm whether in the restaurant, bar or breakfast.
Having a single person serving breakfast and the hot area heat lamps being insufficient and replenishment being slow really detracts from what is otherwise a fabulous venue and location."
"The rooms are dated and not cleaned to an acceptable standard. Breakfast was average. These standards are not in keeping with the prices especially as the spa and pool are not included"
"Checked in with no issues by Millie, very pleasant young lady.
Showed to our room by Mark, very helpful chap.
We paid for a Terrace room, very spacious, clean and a lovely view of the fountain and gardens. Bathroom clean, again spacious. Bath and separate shower.
Hairdryer, iron and ironing board, tea, coffee, biscuits, all available.
Corridor to the rooms a little dated and floor very creaky (not a complaint just an observation).
Breakfast the next morning was chargeable extra to the room. Buffet style with Plenty of choice and availability, fruit, cereal, pastries, cooked breakfast, bread for toast.
Unfortunately this is where we encountered an issue… tea and coffee needed to be requested - we waited 35 minutes for Tea & Coffee despite asking the staff 4 times, who then served later tables before us. The “supervisor” Thomas had a terrible attitude and rather than accepting that they had made an error, made matters worse with an arrogant, attitude. Such a shame one member of staff can cause a dampener on an otherwise lovely experience.
In addition to this, we made the general manager of the hotel aware of the supervisors conceited attitude and she was happy for us not to pay the breakfast. However, 30 minutes after leaving the venue my credit card was charged!"
"Lovely hotel, staff are excellent, really friendly and helpful. Only issue was that there is no air conditioning, we were there in the heatwave so it wasn't their fault but the rooms were so hot it was impossible to sleep, the fan in the room didn't really help however, it is a beautiful place, food and drinks are good, rooms are lovely, anytime other than a heatwave it's wonderful and highly recommended."
"I was greeted by a lovely, friendly and helpful person who began my stay brilliantly. High Tor hotel is kept as clean as it can be and everything worked in my room. The shower was powerful and hot - a welcome relief at the end of a day spent walking and exploring, and the bed linen was spotless."
