"I cannot say enough about this hotel. It was what 5star should be and isnt in most places. The staff were attentive and incredibly helpful making my special requests a reality The property itself is beautiful think expensive marble brass elevator smaller rooms but huge bed and great shower the view and tiny balcony allowed me to vape safely without worry. The view was wild. Very cool. Rooftop tiki bar intimate and cool. I would recommend to any couples looking for a truly world class romantic spot. Def NOT for families. Just too romantic and that was a-\○k with us!!!! Oh and buffet was delicious and top quality Thank you grand du lac for a 11/10 stay!!!!"

"This is a great option if you are looking for a place in Ho Chi Minh. The rooms are clean and comfortable and all of the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. This is a busy city hotel so not where I’d stay for a relaxing escape but a very solid choice. Lobby restaurant has a daily breakfast buffet."

"The staff is absolutely wonderful! Laura was the BEST! She recognized that we were newbies to HCMC and she helped out to make sure her staff was aware of my daughter’s allergies. She made the best recommendations for food, where and where not to shop. Always checked on us to make sure our stay was satisfactory. I would definitely recommend La Vela on the account of Laura and her staff alone!"
