"The Criterion Motel was very good. It is well located in the heart of town with our room overlooking the harbor as all rooms do from what I could see and included a balcony. Our room was large and spacious, clean with all amenities to be self sufficient with the exception of washing machine, clothes dryer and dishwasher. Staff were friendly and helpful although I could not get the wifi to operate so relied on my eSIM data hot spotting from my mobile phone. There was good on site parking. Bathroom/toilet facilities were clean and well presented. My wife and I enjoyed our two nights at the Criterion and would definitely stay there again."

"Stayed in the budget side of the motel, but were given an upgrade. Staff were lovely, room was large & clean. Fabulous views, so close to the cafes etc."

"Photos were a misrepresentation of the property. Property was run down and tired, arrived at property and was shocked, was shown around, but did not take bags in or check in, sort accommodation elsewhere. Contacted Expedia for refund, but host was not agreeable as I did not contact them directly. Did not get refund, I understand that room was held for us but there were spare rooms available so host did not have to turn anyone away. Really disappointed."

"We rate this stay 15 out of ten, that is correct the score is 15. Everything about it was exactly as advertised. The garden view from the downstairs room gave privacy and a beautiful atmosphere to sit in. Stay here if you can, Nicky will great you as a long lost friend. Superb! Everything you need is here and close enough to walk the town "
