"Excellent location close to old town and top draw restaurants. Staff was excellent in answering questions and general info about local dining options. Breakfast was very good. Only suggestion might be for water bottles to be provided in the guest rooms."

"The hotel is in a good location, right on the main road in Torshavn, and close to the ferry dock. The free breakfast was good, but the served the same food everyday so it got a little monotonous. The staff was mostly friendly and efficient. The room was very clean, and a good size. Overall a very nice place."

"We absolutely loved the beautiful spacious room, bathroom and common areas. The beds and bedding were so comfortable it was hard to leave. The food was delicious, both the breakfast buffet and every meal/tea we ate in the bar restaurant. The Ress spa was so perfect. The gym was excellent, clean and had every piece of equipment for a great work out. The laundry room was free to use, including the detergent. We loved our one week stay at this hotel and we will definitely be back if we make it back to the gorgeous Faroe Islands!"

"The hotel was beautifully kept and the staff were helpful and friendly. I loved that it had recreated the old world charm of the ‘good old days’ and the little cafe open for guests was very convenient. The curved breakfast room overlooking the ocean made me feel like I was in an Agatha Christie novel 😍"

"The apartment was clean and spacious with a very useful kitchen area (fridge, sink, oven, hob, kettle, toaster and coffee machine). The location was perfect - the marina, harbour and main city car park were all within easy walking distance (less than 5 minutes) and despite the housing density we were not overlooked. It was also pin-drop quiet despite us being there during peak tourist season - we slept well. Lots of shops and restaurants were also within easy walking distance as were a number of supermarkets and bakeries. It was a great base to explore the islands from."

"I had a very pleasant few days in The Bird. Room was small and basic but comfortably and clean. The kitchen and dinning room are as good as you’ll get. Also a lounge for relaxing, which is great if you don’t want to leave at 1000. The only issue is they need a better system for food in the fridge as it’s full of stuff that people have left."
