"Slightly faded glory in this charming ex-shooting lodge hotel beyond the back of beyond, with taxidermy, paintings and a Victorian vibe, perfect for a one-night stay. Our rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable; the plumbing almost retro in its age but everything worked fine and the water was hot. Our cooked breakfast and three course evening meal the night before were perfect and there was a good selection of wines. Clientele was predominantly Europeans with a few Brits during our visit. Only complaint was that we couldnt get either of our electric room heaters to work, but maybe they were disabled as it was June. I'd recommend it and go back."
