"When I arrived the receptionist waived my spa entry fee as a birthday gift which was so nice. My room was spacious and comfy but dated. The staff at the spa were friendly and welcoming. My therapist was attentive and gave me the nicest foot and leg treatment ever. It was heaven. The staff at the bar and restraint made me feel at ease as I was alone. It was the perfect solo stay for a tired mum to recharge. "

"We booked last minute as an alternate to where we normally stay when visiting Newport. Very happy with the condition of the room, the grounds, and the services by the staff and management. Beautiful older legacy property set in a beautiful and quiet area with decent amenities for kids and adults."

"Huge hotel with lots of different bars, restaurants and facilities. Can seem a bit impersonal and no cosy areas. Outside areas are lovely. Our signature room in floor 6 was very comfortable. No furniture in the balcony was disappointing. The business lounge was nice but only coffee and 1 glass of prosecco was free. Disappointed there was no food in the evening. At breakfast just coffee and croissants. Parking garage was convenient with lift to lobby but £20 per day was steep."
