The Tides B&B

The Tides B&B

10/10 Excellent
"We had a fantastic experience staying at the Tides B&B in Ballybunion. David and Noreen were so welcoming, kind, and helpful as we were planning our next couple days in the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, and Galway. Our room (#6) was spacious, had a walk in closet with two luggage racks (!) , sizable bathroom with a wonderful four-way shower and bath product. Our king bed was super comfy with luxurious comforter and pillows. We had a lovely sitting area to read books and a fancy coffee/tea making station and mini frig. The breakfast was incredibly generous with the continental breakfast alone offering at least five different cold cereals, cheese, three different pastries (chocolate croissant, plain croissant, cinnamon bun), Guinness banana bread, two kinds of bread for toast, assorted jams and butter, yogurt and fresh fruit salad, a delicious granola yogurt concoction, and several types of juice, coffee, ample tea selection. And I’m sure I’m missing some items! On top of all that you can add hot items - Irish breakfast, eggs and sausage and bacon and hash browns, two different kinds of crepes, and more. While we were not here to golf this time, clearly most folks are golfers. We wanted to be closer to the Tarbert Ferry to head north as we were coming from (a terrible hotel stay) in Dingle and the Tides was a welcome oasis for us. It was also lovely to not deal with difficult parking for the first time in Ireland! We hope our travels bring us back to Ballybunion and to visit"

"The only issue we had was the property texted us a key box code for our room to my phone and I didn't have phone coverage in Ireland, Luckily we were able to call and the host came and let us into our room. The stairs were a struggle but we knew there were stairs so we were okay."

"Hostess was truly lovely ... gave us a yummy cooked breakfast and directions/advice for destinations we were heading to on the day. She checked in with us in the evening to see how our day was and if we needed anything. Fabulous .. fully recommend !! It was also very easy to get to Dingles, Kerry Peninsulas! Good pub meal in nearby Castlemaine recommended by our hostess (yummy chicken volu-u-vents) and fabulous Chinese takeaway recommended by me in Milltown 2km away."
