This is a very special place indeed.
Cozy room and The bed just enveloped me
The food there is fine dining.
Very lovely.
The spa is amazing.
Warm pools and hot jacuzzis.
Its all just lovely.
Beautiful setting for our special celebration with the family. The staff were wonderful & responded to all requests efficiently and with a smile. We were provided with a separate room for our evening meal making it even more memorable.
Perfect spa day and evening in a stunning room. Brilliant breakfast and staff were very helpful. Absolutely beautiful everywhere you go around the hotel and gardens.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Disappointed with our room which was overlooking the kitchen and bin store. Photos were sent but had gone to my junk mail. Don’t feel that the cost of the stay was justified. We didn’t feel we could sit in the room and relax with the noise from the kitchen vents. The bath while lovely had lots of limescale and this could be easily resolved with some Viakal. We had previously visited for a spa day six years ago. This time the drains were obviously blocked and the water from the showers was flowing back into the sauna. Just needs a bit of TLC.
Beautiful meal in the restaurant and service from the restaurant staff exceptional.
Stunning. Whether in winter for cozy fires or in summer for the pool and beach, a special place with excellent service. Very dog friendly and we found our classic room spacious and comfortable
Was a nice place and unique features. Only complaint was value for money and for price would have expected better room features and our Sussex room wasnt like photos.
Received a very warm welcome. The hotel and grounds were looking beautiful in the sunshine. We had a lovely character room in The Gatehouse with a modern well equipped bathroom . Dinner and breakfast were served outside in the courtyard and I had a complimentary G n T as it was my birthday. Had two lovely walks on the beach. The outdoor pool is beautiful but was a bit too warm and busy for me as sunny and lots of Spa day guests and members . We also had a delicious afternoon tea in the garden.
The hotel is split into several houses. I stayed in the one with the restaurant. . The staff, the room, the food and the swimming pools were excellent. I’ll be back!
Hotel was amazing and staff and food and hotel in general were wonderful. The spa treatment I had was amazing - spa facilities were small and could do with a bit of upgrading in areas.
A great spa hotel. Rural setting. Very close to the beach for a walk. An older property, but very quiet and comfortable with a good selection of teas/coffee in the room. Could do with a TV upgrade (just terrestrial TV) but other than that excellent. Log fires and small cosy rooms to sit in. Food was excellent, well worth dining in. The spa has a very nice heated outdoor pool, sauna and indoor pool with hot tub. My wife had a massage and was very impressed. Its set in lovely grounds and is a perfect little getaway. I would definitely stay here again.
Absolutly amazingly place to stay, fantastic grounds, all the staff went out of their way to be helpful and really seemed to enjoy working there and the breakfast choices were perfect.
The spa facilities met our needs perfectly, if you are looking for Spa break please read what this place has to offer before you book.
Maybe my expectations were too high as the reviews I had read were mostly positive about Bailiffscourt hotel.
The staff when we checked in were amazing, our bathroom was lovely and the breakfast choice was good.
The staff in the spa are unwelcoming and very unhelpful and tried to discourage us from using the spa at 8.15 pm as they wanted to go home ! The spa is advertised as closing at 9pm and the reception team encouraged us to visit that night.
The room that we stayed in was unfit for purpose, we could hear the person above us talking, snoring, walking around and then walking to the toilet and then also going to the toilet.
The lack of lighting walking from the reception to anywhere outside in the dark is appalling and could be quite dangerous.
When we checked out the receptionist did not ask us if we had enjoyed our stay which is quite unusual when checking out of a hotel, if he had I would have mentioned the above to him. I have also called the hotel to speak to a member of staff about my concerns and have been told that someone will call me back, I am still waiting after a week. So I do not hold out much hope for this.
I would not recommend Bailiffscourt hotel.
Wonderful spa hotel with lots of character! The medieval-style design creates a charming atmosphere, seamlessly paired with all the modern comforts we needed. The spa was a highlight—relaxing and well-equipped. We also appreciated the friendly staff and attention to detail. Highly recommend it for a romantic getaway or a relaxing retreat!
