The original birthplace of Ireland’slinen industry, Lisburn offersstunning scenery, historic architecture and a modern, bustling city centre. A trip along the River Lagan will take you through the citycentre and up into the Lagan ValleyRegional Park. It’s approximately 6.3 miles from the centre of Lisburn, making it a challenging yetpicturesque walk, but there are regular bus services running to and from thecity centre.

Enjoy a picnic by the river or afternoon tea at one of thelocal cafes. Pick a trail and explore the rose garden at Terrace Hill, whichoffers excellent views across the valley of the Belfast Hills. From here youcan also see the ancient Giant’s Ring, a henge monument that dates back to2700BC.
