Exceptionally beautiful property. Located within a 10 minute walk to the beach, although the pool there was a perfect place to cool off as well. We stayed in early September and loved the location - train nearby to get to Lisbon, the restaurants in the vicinity, the hotel's restaurant and breakfast buffet, and the historic buildings. A very quaint little beach town - Paco de Arco brought us so much relaxation while still being able to tour Lisbon for a few hours every day.

We had a great four day stay here in August 2026. The hotel is magnificent located on the ocean. Has a great kids area and a huge adult pool. Breakfast every morning is included. Located in a little village and close to lots of restaurants. The pharmacy and grocery store are walkable. We had a marvellous time.

We loved the hotel and its location. Breakfast was great and stuff very friendly. The grounds are nicely maintained and we were able to enjoy the pool (towels are in the spa). There was no iron or ironing board in the room which was inconvenient.

The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, Wonderful location and views are breathtakingly beautiful. The breakfast buffet is good but not awesome . Same with the dinner. Room service was a bit slow and the soup arrived ice cold. Other than those two negatives, I’d definitely stay here again.

This was a magical little gem that we found about 15 minutes outside of Lisbon. The resort was beautiful, the AC worked really well in the rooms, everything was clean and you could tell they really put forth effort into every detail. Breakfast was delicious and freshly made every day. The staff was delightful and spoke English very well which was really helpful. They even hosted a festival dinner that we attended that allowed us to meet some new people and listen to some music while enjoying local cuisine. We loved waking up and going for a walk every morning right along the water after breakfast and then sitting by the gorgeous pool. We truly loved every minute of our stay here. Worst thing I can say about it was that the WiFi was very spotty and challenging at time but if you can unwind and unplug, then run don't walk to get there. We want to check out other Vila Gale properties next!!

positive: breakfast, pool and location negative: Sauna is NOT a Sauna. 45ºC is not enough, it should be at least 80ºC. check in: room was ready only at 5 pm and not allowed a late check out. the hotel is good but not a 5 starts.

Fantastic Stay at Palacio dos Arcos in Aug 24. Excellent Value and facilities including the indoor and outdoor pool and massage. Rooms were clean, large and the balcony view of the sea from our 2nd floor room was great. We took advantage of the Half Board option which provided an excellent dinner in the evening - a special mention for Joao who looked after us exceptionally well. Proximity to the train station, meant easy access along the coast to Cascais, must be said no noise from the train could be heard from the hotel. Look forward to returning again.

Not a 5* more a 4* sunbeds around pool old and uncomfortable, not the ones on the web site, spa pool towels very old and thin, breakfast very good,what makes this hotel is the staff, they are all young which was a surprise but just friendly and professional, as a solo traveler they all had excellent customer service. especially Erica, Joao and John in restaurant.

Positives : check in was smooth, the indoor pool was very nice and well Maintained. Room was clean . Breakfast was average Negatives : room lacked basic amenities, no hair dryer , makeup remover wipes would be nice touch . It felt very basic even though we were told that our room Was in upgraded section of hotel .

This hotel is magnificent. I enjoyed every minute. The only complaint I have is re coffee. The lack of a coffee machine at breakfast was disappointing. There are Nespresso machines which you can request for your room. Unfortunately none were available during our stay. But overall everything was brilliant and I’ll be back - requesting my Nespresso machine before arrival 😁

The old palace and its garden are very beautiful. The restaurant is located in this unique building. The menu is exquisite. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. On the downside, it was my birthday during our stay. Nobody in the hotel seemed to care (I have had other experiences). When we checked out I commented on this fact. The reply was, next time they would throw a big party for me. Seriously. Not funny.

The hotel is great with poetry has theme in the setting of a old and well maintained palace. The rooms are in a new wing, and as expected are modern and quite new. Plenty of restaurants and great food all-round the property and Lisbon at a 10 minutes taxi ride.
