"My room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. My colleague had a coffee machine in her room but I just had a kettle and sachets of coffee and milk. Breakfast was a little disappointing, coffee was served out of urns with no other option."

"Staff were friendly & helpful in all areas , parking was easy & lots of it & free ! Lots to do nearby , cafes pubs walks . Bar area plenty of space & relaxing indoor & outdoor . I had an assistance dog & staff made us welcome . Breakfast was well Laid out & on time . Will revisit soon Maybe hotel needs to upgrade some of the carpets over time but everything else well maintained"

"Clean and spacious room, equipped in fridge, coffee machine and separate lounge. Friendly 24/7 concierge, always very helpful. It took some walking around, like in a maze, to find the room. If you have mobility issues you should mention it before you book a room. Breakfast very nice , a lot of options and freshly prepared foods. Swimming pool good , sauna and steam good, jacuzzi could use a good cleaning , well equipped gym, overall leisure facilities good. We purchased a late check out but got woken up by cleaners at 10am. The check out system should be a bit more clearer and faster, to avoid queuing just to drop the key cards at the desk. You can tell it’s an older hotel and may need some upgrades but overall a good weekend away in a lovely peaceful area."

"The room was clean, the staff friendly, the breakfast was lovely choices, although the juice glasses were tiny so had to have 2 or 3 glasses and fried egg was a bit plastic. Swimming pool was a nice size for my capabilities. Didn't use the children's pool. The only bad thing about it was the prices for alcohol was a bit high and you are joking at the £33 cheeseburger or any dinner prices?"

"Lovely stay for my birthday food was great rooms were lovely staff were friendly only a couple of minor things we got back late and the car park was full managed to get the last space thankfully but maybe bare that in mind, then our neighbours were up till 4 am they weren’t being extra loud but we could hear them (not hotels fault) and the lastly we put the “refresh room” sign on our door and when we got back from day out it hadn’t been done so had to go to reception to ask for more tea and coffee for room"

"This is a beautiful small hotel only 15 min from The University of Surrey, where I was helping settle my daughter for grad school (we are from New York). We loved the hotel lobby, the pools and hot tub and spa area, and the room was lovely. I wish the desk staff had provided a list of spa services and let us know about use of the pools (hours and such), we had to google the info. We also would have appreciated a self service coffee and late night snack area on the premises. We arrived late, the restaurant was closed and we ordered food to be delivered. The decor is so classic and beautiful and the gardens and indoor plants are amazing. I would stay here again when visiting the University."
