"Took a chance for last minute spring break getaway the pictures looked really nice and I have to say in person was actually better than the pictures! You really never know what you are going to get and this case I really felt we got better than what was listed.
We stayed for an overnight but we definitely be back for two to three nights in September.
Staff was so lovely, the grounds are beautiful, clean and well kept. You cannot beat this view, room was spotless and had everything a family of four could need but most of all I appreciated the clean and updated furniture.
The hotel offers a shuttle in to town that we did not need but I can see how in the summer would be really helpful.
Indoor pool was open until 9pm with a lifeguard, our kids has a blast swimming after visiting the lighthouse and having dinner.
There was a cute playground by the lighthouse our kids really enjoyed after touring the lighthouse itself.
The restaurant in the hotel was not open in the off season time but it was easy enough to take a ride in to town & grab coffee’s. There are coffee pots in the room but you would need to bring coffee to brew and whatever you add to your coffee. My only suggestion for off peak season to the hotel would be a mini coffee bar in the lobby but honestly this hotel is perfect otherwise.
Families & couples will love it here there is something for everyone. I really don’t right reviews but other people’s reviews helped me book this so paying it forward."
"It was delightful & delicious! I had a wonderful time & felt like part of the family when I left. A perfect getaway for someone that wants a genuinely thoughtful experience. Thank you :)"
"Horrible service. Room wasn’t cleaned. Asked 6 times throughout the day. They even sent a cleaning crew up who came to the door and told us they were cleaning our room next. We waited in the lobby and killed a chunk of the afternoon. It was raining so we were just trying to relax. Got back to the room and it was still not cleaned. The a man came by before we went to dinner to clean it. All he did was put sheets on the bed.
They told us since we booked through Expedia that they cannot refund me anything. They claimed they would have comped me my 2 nights. Expedia didn’t really save me money on the room so I’ll be booking directly from now on.
Horrible service overall at the hotel. It’s a shame too cause I always stay here "
"My family booked a 2 night stay here last minute in March to have an anticipated rainy beach day by their indoor poor during a road trip. The website (still, April 2026) lists a pool as an amenity. Expedia also lists that the property has a pool. However they have NOT had a working pool in some time.
We arrived in the evening so agreed to stay the first night but wanted to cancel the second day/night within the allowable time but were told by the hotel only Expedia could initiate our cancellation, which hotel manager would have to approve. The manager would not then and has not since responded to the request for cancellation and hotel has kept our payment - against the stated policy.
Staff even mentioned knowing the website incorrectly lists a pool though thought it’s not a currently an amenity.
Pros: front desk staff are really nice. Rooms are dated but clean and comfortable. It’s directly across from the beach."
"Imagine a Super 8 motel or even something lower‑level that just put in new furniture and a new bathroom, but everything else stayed the same. It’s really not worth this price, to be honest. The rooms are clean but actually very small, and the hotel isn’t on the beach, there’s a dune and a road in between. Very bad insulation, you can hear people and their TVs from the rooms next to you."
