"To be honest, we weren't expecting much, but after booking, I had reason to call the hotel on a couple of occasions and they were always very helpful and friendly. We had a slight glitch with contacting the shuttle, after dropping our luggage off, which was resolved with one call to the hotel! The shuttle was great - as were the drivers. Please keep this service on as it's one of the main reasons we booked. The room was clean and comfortable - no complaints there. The bar area was small but adequate and the restaurant, while not having a massive choice, provided me with the best pannini I have EVER had! My husband loved his fishcakes too. The breakfast was very nice, and set us up for the day, before a long haul flight. Peter, in the restaurant was very helpful. So, all in all, a very positive experience! Thank you to all the lovely staff, and as long as the shuttle keeps running, we will be back! 😊"

"Comfy bed. Breakfast was beyond expectation, a lot of variety hot and cold including an omelette station. Great coffee machine. The only thing it was missing was real yogurt, they only had soy yogurt. That being said, there were choices for dairy free. Had fish and chips for dinner in the restaurant was very good."

"We stayed for two nights, as we combined our stay from London to Alton towers Hotel was clean and inviting on arrival Unexpectedly you have to pay for the parking as was explained when we arrived There were two events in the evening of the two days we stayed. Which then when we arrived later back in the evening there was limited parking so we then had to park outside the hotel! Surely the hotel guests have the priority over the parking we got our payment back as compensation. A few people complained. Overall rooms and bathrooms were clean and bathrooms had a nice shower Breakfast was nice and always being replenished. A nice stay"

"Have stayed at this hotel before ( only overnight stays when attending theatre) and decided to book a slightly upgrade from basic room: very pleased with the decision. Very good breakfast. Reception staff very friendly and efficient as online check in didn't work. Lovely bar and nice outlook over Buxton."

"Our whole experience was wonderful, from check in to drinks in the cocktail bar to dinner and breakfast. Valet parking was a tad expensive but so convenient. We intend to return before Christmas - think it will be lovely."
