"It was a great stay"

"I chose this hotel because it seemed to offer a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The facilities were pleasant, but the staff's overall attentiveness fell short of expectations. In addition, the rooms are quite small; extra charges are not clearly communicated in advance; water must be requested specifically; and the process for connecting services like Netflix is unclear and not explained beforehand. I believe more genuine attentiveness and care from the staff could have made a meaningful difference."

"Double charged and no help from the staff what so ever, even denied they charged my account"

"Our room was clean and the A/C was working. There was a musty smell coming from the vents of the A/C, but we were happy to have cool air as we stayed in LA when it was warmer outside (March 2026). Staff at the front desk were not very friendly, but they did answer questions. We were lucky enough to find parking in the upper level of their adjacent garage (there are only 10 or so parking spots available in the upper lot). We would rather have an elevator that is accessible from within the lobby as opposed to the outside of the building. The location of this hotel is within 20 minutes to shopping areas like The Grove and 30-35 minutes to Venice Beach. "

"Hotel Normandie is a charming hotel in Koreatown. The staff was so helpful and kind. They really were the best. The location and parking made being in LA so easy. The filtered cold water and comfortable bed made our trip top notch. This is an older building so bring your ear plugs, but the noise is easily overlooked for the location, price point and service. We will stay again! "

"bathroom was gross, flies in the sink and shower. didnt notice bed bugs, but the sheets and towels were all dirty when we entered the room and the housekeeping new ones were also dirty. loud banging from above overnight. not the best area obviously but it was cheap enough for a few nights and im alive. that being said, i will never stay here again. "
