"A beautiful hotel with lots of local character. Staff were so friendly and helpful, delicious breakfast. Very close to the cafes and shops of Stellenbosch and felt very safe, which was important to me as a solo female traveller."

"Fantastic place. My only regret is not having more time to spend here.
Short walk to the botanical gardens (down the block). One block further are plenty of dining options.
The breakfast is solid."
"Only problem is they don’t serve dinner, but there are walkable options. Nice pool and spa but gym is very basic and in need of an upgrade. Rooms are really nice. "

"My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at Coopmanhuijs while in Stellenbosch. It was fantastic! The staff was super friendly and acommodating. The restaurant was outstanding. Our reservation included breakfast and we were able to order off of a menu and/or opt for the generous buffet. We also ate dinner at the restuarant and it was beyond delicious. (Springbok carpaccio!) We don't usually relax in common hotel spaces, but everyone was so welcoming that we did spend some time in the lounge by the fire. We met some other guests who were super interesting, and I felt like I learned a lot about South Africa culture as well. Thank you for a lovely stay!"
"Beautiful property in perfect location. 15 min walk to downtown Stellenbosch for meals and shopping. Our host was gracious and had communicated dining and wine options well ahead of our arrival, allowing us to book ahead and secure reservations. Breakfast was included and lovely. Room was comfortable and spacious. We had a ground floor suite which was very convenient. Several bikes were available for use, but we did not take them out. Overall, highly recommend this property if you are looking for good quality, personal attention, quiet and safe location, and pleasant amenities. "
