"The staff were very welcoming and helpful on arrival. The room was comfortable, clean and we slept very well. "Location is lovely quiet and picturesque. We were at a wedding close by so only needed the hotel to sleep at, the hotel is a bit in need of a re-furb but very nice staff and the room was fresh and comfortable. The room was clean, bedding and bed were comfortable we did not eat as arrived at 3 dropped bags and headed to wedding.left at 8 in morning Would stay again as we both said apart from corridors and general impression it was a nice nights sleep Plenty parking and nice area for a morning...

"Lively stay, staff brilliant"

"Hotel was very good, but a little out in the sticks. The food was typical pub grub, but well cooked on the premises. No other pubs, shops or restaurants in the village and there are very few restaurants in the nearest town Bishop Auckland."
