Romantic Hotels in Langkawi, Kedah

"We booked 5 nights as a "pay at the property" booking. However, the property tried to charge the full amount of the booking 10 days before our stay. Our credit card had been compromised so they were unable to do this. However, they threatened to cancel our booking if we did not pay with a new card in advance. I reached out to Expedia, who said they would tell the property to only charge one night. However, that clearly did not happen. Not only did they charge us for what they said was the full amount, but they made a mistake and sent another invoice a day later while we were traveling and unable to make the payment. The whole situation was anxiety provoking and not what "pay at property" means. The lodging buildings are old but have had some renovations on the inside. The garden view room we had was spacious and the outdoor terrace was a bonus. The pools are really nice, and we enjoyed our time at the Cascade pool, a lot. We were always able to find two loungers under an umbrella. The Pelangi Grill for breakfast was great. The views make any meal there, worth it. However, the dinner menu was not as good here as at the Asian Restaurant, which was much better (but didn't have as nice views). Staff were generally very friendly."

"Big and comfortable rooms. Amazing amenities (pool, beachfront, spa, cafes). The location was also perfect, you have absolutely everything close by but it is still very tranquil and private. But the best of all was the staff. Everyone was extremely nice and eager to help you enjoy your holidays. We would definitely return."

"We stayed in an over water villa and the room was amazing. View from the room was spectacular and the room was open airy and spacious. Only drawback would be there is not enough shaded areas to get away from the sun. But that really is minor. Wilfred and Shabir were amazing as they we were so personal and warm and made us feel welcomed. Really made an immediate impression on us. Can't wait to go back."

"More than met every expectation. Luxury for the discerning, not for those looking to flash their cash. Our marina view room was large, exceedingly comfortable and well equipped, with 2 wardrobes, huge bed, tables, chairs, two wash basins, rainfall shower and separate bath. Pool and beach areas absolutely superb and we never had a problem finding loungers. Complimentary snacks and refreshments offered around the pool during the afternoon. Restaurants offered wide range of local and ‘international’ dishes, everything you could wish for so long as you’re not ridiculously fussy…but even if you were I wouldn’t be surprised if the excellent staff tried to accommodate you as best they could. Location is peaceful but within a short grab/taxi ride of everything."
