"We recently stayed at The Polurrion on the Lizard for 2 nights during spring school holidays. The staff was incredibly welcoming and the room was spacious with sea view. We enjoyed the variety of food, our evening time in the hotel lobby and the kids have definitely enjoyed the indoors swimming pool.
The location was perfect as the beach was 5 minutes walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cornwall."
"I liked the room and after being out in the cold it was nice to get into a warm room.
I was not too happy about the breakfast bacon I felt it had been over cooked and the choice of cut contained more fat than meat.
Staff were great no complaints about them.
I didnt have a beach view I overlooked the church and town in the distance."
"Lovely clean room, excellent power shower and super deep bath. Very helpful staff and a great atmosphere throughout. We enjoyed the pool and the spa facial and massage were fabulous. It seemed to be a place where guests returned several times, and we could see why. Great place for a Cornish break. We'd definitely stay again."
"Breakfast has been scaled down in selection, quality & service and seemed disorganised.
Also, as a vegan, there is very little available on the buffet table though I acknowledge they offer a cooked vegan breakfast which is good if you want hot.
The granola which I like had run out & I couldn't find a member of staff free to inform them so went without.
It would be a thoughtful touch if biscuits in the room were dairy & egg free just to cater fr a wider clientele. "
"Had a poor experience at this hotel I would not visit again I checked in 31st March had a long drive down the woman on the reception was not helpful at all we checked in slightly earlier but she just said check in is 3pm I get that I’ve travelled the world my point is she was just rude she couldn’t even suggest in waiting in the lobby, I had to take all my cases back to the car as there is no direct car park for this hotel which is another joke no one tells you this till you arrive so they take your keys away we don’t know where it gets parked and they keep the keys, well I wasn’t going to let that happen.
Went for dinner that night the guy that welcomed us was very nice and welcoming as for the other staff which really let’s this places down are very lazy not pro active I asked for 2 cocktails a pornstar Martini I’ve never seen a pot rat martini served like this before was so watered down and the presentation was poor, dinner was good apart from the desert chocalte pudding more like rock hard straight out the freezer when asked the waiter he said he would let the chef know that’s no good like I said poor customer service let’s thisplaced down then at brekkie my chair broke in front of everyone again the staff are not active at all so lazy I had to ask if I could move tables and then on top of that we had to wait for our cooked breakfast over 30 mins bearing in mind the hotel is not busy yet so I dread to think what it would’ve like at peak
My Tv in room and internet crap "
"Not stayed at The Green bank for a while, was so pleased to find it's still an amazing experience! Great food with excellent staff. A special thank you to Jess and Rebecca in the Bar who looked after us during our stay a credit to the Hotel! "
