The Garden of Gods is a must if visiting Lanai (apart from the cat sanctuary!). Rent a jeep from town and head out. Comprising of 1300 acres of sandstone formations with loads of hiking trails. Unbelievably when we went, we were the only ones there! It was like being on the moon and the peace and quiet too! Recommended!
Heading out when it's dark has some great benefits, like this breathtaking sunrise over Manele Bay Small Boat Harbor!

This is the famous golf hole 12 at Manele where Mr. Gates married, of course. It overlooks the blue Pacific Ocean. If you are lucky you can spot humpback whales and dolphins passing by.

We are "stuck" here for an extra 2 days due to the Kona stirm. Staff have been exceedingy patient and friendly and accommodating during this challenging peroid. They even got me to the local emergency room for treatment of an acute injury. Our room was gorgeous!

We had to switch to switch rooms because it smelled like a dog shelter. The next room was an improvement it it was showing it’s age. The maid service is every other day, if they show up.
