Lakeland - Winter Haven hotel rooms a the Oakwood

"The location felt safe but was very noisy. Between sirens, the EV charging station right outside my window and inexplicably aggressive house keeping, it was difficult to get good sleep. The breakfast and breakfast staff were very good. My room had a whirlpool tub. It worked well and did its purpose nicely. "

"My room was NOT a lake view, it was a construction site view with construction starting at 7am daily- that was great to wake up to every morning… the room was also not very clean, lots of mildew/ mold in the shower tile grout lines. The stove and ice machine did not work. (Someone did come fix the stove when we called) we waited two hours for food at the Valencia our first night, so plan to order food in or eat outside of the resort. I would also suggest brining a cart to haul all your stuff from the car as this place is a MAZE! Even though it was a little outdated, I will say all the staff we came in contact with were VERY nice and I really appreciate that. "

"The advertised “in-room dining” is a misrepresentation. AFTER ordering the food, I found out that I must go to the lobby to pick it up; it is NOT delivered to the room. On one of my days there, I requested that housekeeping service my room before 3pm. Staff at front desk noted the request and promised that. When I returned to my room at 3pm it was still not done "
