The staff was truly remarkable. We were instantly relaxed. Our bags were in our room before we were. Snacks in the room, a well stocked fridge with water and juice. A lovely bottle of wine. Amazing breakfast included and brought to the room in baskets. When we checked out, the staff got our luggage, brought our car around, had bottled water ready for us and warmed up the car - all with smiles. And the bar staff - great drinks and very heavy pours with the wine :)
We went for a ski vacation in lake placid with our seven year old daughter. Unfortunately, we had temps in the 70's and skiing was terrible. So we had to rely on the lodge more for entertainment. The staff did all they could to accommodate us and our daughter. They set up a cooking lesson for here and the two other little girls that were staying at the hotel.they did an impromptu movie night, and bonfires and s'more kits were available on demand. A great highlight was hiking the grounds led by their dog, Maggie. She's a hospitality dog and the sweetest golden retriever ever. Our daughter loved her!
The food was great and room was very comfy and beautifully decorated in the adirondack style.
The place is pricey and the only thing we could have used was a pool. Children under 12 can only stay in march, so families, be aware.
