"It's a little bit tired to be honest. The room was spacious and reasonably well equipped. But, the towel rail did not work and the heating system was a bit iffy, so getting the right temperature was a bit of a trial; and the first day was pretty chilly. "I have stayed at this friendly owner run hotel 3 times now.It is well situated only 2 minutes from the quay of the old port and close to all of the main attractions of La Rochelle also convenient to call back for a rest during a sight seeing day.The hotel has been upgraded since my last visit with good quality modern decor and a new bar and breakfast area that I chose not to use.Very clean and comfortable and plenty of hot water. "We stayed here on our way through the west coast of France and it was the perfect place to stay in during our visit to La Rochelle. The hotel amenities were basic but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We would recommend this as a stop over place."

"Lovely room with balcony and view of the beach. We were a little disappointed as room was not cleaned for the first few days and we had to request clean towels and toilet rolls to be brought to room. Management were very good and apologised. "First of all, the staff were fantastic, super helpful. The room was a little tight, but there was loads of storage space and a built in wardrobe. Great bathroom and super nice. There is a gorgeous pool, sauna and hamman, all inclusive. Wow, hadn’t expected these, ver impressive. Location is perfect, nice and quiet but close to the Vauban fort. Fully enclosed courtyard and a classy bar. Lots of choice for breakfast."
